It’s official: The Little Room has been chosen to represent Switzerland in the Oscar’s run!
Bern, 17.09.2010 – The Little Room, by Stephanie Chuat and Veronique Reymond will represent Switzerland at the Oscars 2011. To conclude the week of Swiss cinema in Delémont, and on the recommendation of an expert group meeting on this occasion, the Federal Office of Culture (OFC) scored the film with the “Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in the category “Best Foreign Film. Among the films presented during this playoff, “The Little Room” by Stephanie Chuat and Veronique Reymond Chuat received an extraordinary reception during its screening at the Swiss Film Week Delémont-Hollywood
and also in Locarno International Film Festival 2010. An original screenplay, percussive dialogues, a drama that takes the viewer on their toes and a flawless performance by Michel Bouquet and Florence Loiret Caille convinced the committee to choose this film for the Oscar’s run.
